For your 1st cruise, go to YouTube and explore all the sites of the ship that you will be cruising on. Embarkment, the ship itself, excursions, disembarkment. It's very important to learn all of these things, and it will give you some sort of comfort. Don't be afraid to ask any of the crew members or guest for help. I remembered my first cruise, after years of being aboard a military vessel, I was totally overwhelmed when I stepped aboard the Carnival Glory. Go with the flow, as my first Cruise Director said, the only two requirements are to eat and poop. Enjoy your cruise.
