Can't Find or Track RCI GOS on Map

Yesterday I was able to track the Grandeur on the map, seeing its speed, course, destination, etc

I clicked on Intermarries History and now can no longer find it on the map presented with a bunch of numbered green blocks.

How do I reset this back to show the "vessels track?"

Thanks in advance.

The Grandeur of the Seas is currently outside of tracking range off the East coast of the United States in the Atlantic Ocean. It will not be back within tracking range till it gets closer to land in the Caribbean.

To explain this better: https://www.cruisingearth.com/forum/f485/why-cant-track-ship-know-its-sailing-2293/

The green numbered blocks come up when you zoom out so far that displaying ships on the map at that resolution would not be helpful. To go back to seeing ship tracks just zoom in.

Thanks for the feedback Greg..does this happen to all the cruise ships off the East coast of the United States in the Atlantic Ocean.

I tried to zoom in but had no luck...will try again

Yes, ship tracking is lost anytime a ship goes more than approximately 80-100 miles offshore with the current land based AIS tracking system. You can verify this by selecting the ship's "Last Known Position" option. From that option you will see that the ship's last reported position is typically near the distance limit (80-100 miles offshore) and heading further out to sea.
