During a reception held earlier this week at the 30[SUP]th[/SUP] annual Cruise Shipping Miami conference, Carnival Cruise Line was presented with Porthole Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Award for Best Burger, in recognition of the Guy’s Burger Joint venues developed in tandem with Food Network star Guy Fieri and featured on a number of the line’s vessels.

Guy’s Burger Joint debuted on Carnival Liberty in 2011 and has been rolled out to several other vessels as part of Fun Ship 2.0, the line’s $500 million product enhancement strategy.

The stand-alone poolside dining venues feature freshly grilled burgers with tasty and inventive toppings, as well as hand-cut fries, all developed by Fieri. It is estimated that hungry Carnival guests devour more than 1,000 burgers per day per ship at Guy’s Burger Joints which feature a fun décor that celebrates the chef’s love of car culture and California roots.
