Affective immediately Carnival is no longer offers discounts on longer cruises for the Cheer's Beverage Program.
Now, all passengers will pay the same higher per-day price, regardless of their cruise length.
Previously, guests on sailings of six nights or longer could prepay $70.74 per night (including gratuities), compared to $82.54 per night (including gratuities) for shorter sailings. This effectively raises the program price 16% for these previously discounted longer cruises.
There has been some negative feedback due to the price change being affective immediately. Those with upcoming cruises, that have not pre-paid for the program yet, will now need to pay the higher price. Previous price changes in the program have been announced prior to being applied, allowing customers a small time frame to make their pre-cruise purchases at the lower price.
For 2 people purchasing the Cheer's Beverage Program for a 7 day cruise this would be an increase cost of $165.20 (2 x $11.80 per person x 7 days).
