Hurricanes

Hi I’m new to the site. Thanks for including me. I’m a long time cruiser 20+ years and was watching Beryl and wondering where all the cruise ships go for shelter during a Hurricane event.

When hurricanes are expected to pass through cruising routes or impact cruise ports lots of itinerary changes are made. It is unusual for a cruise to have to cancel it's sailing unless the homeport is severely impacted but it is not unusual for a cruise route and destination ports to change to keep the ship out of the worst weather conditions.
