I just joined this site so I,m introducing myself , I started working on british cargo and liners in 1955 , the liners were passenger ships in those days and we took the passengers to their destinations , such as Canada , USA , south Africa , Australia and new Zealand , picking up and dropping off along the way . in the winter months we made our home port in New York City and did the Caribbean cruises , no less than 10 days and max 28 days . my wife and I are now cruising out of port Canaveral .on royal caribbea , and carnival and like to try out the new ships as they reposition .
